BOOK JOUNAL

Students were given these suggestions for journaling:

Include your impressions, things you wonder about or find interesting, things that surprise or confuse you.  Write what you think might be important.

Notice foreshadowing, conflicts, interesting use of language.  What connections could be made between the author and the novel?  What lessons could be applied to your life?

Was there a character or person you connected with? Why?

Vocabulary — keep a running record of words you didn’t know before.
