The Academy of Orton-Gillingham Practitioners and Educators is presenting its annual conference in Hartford, Connecticut, on Friday, May 16 (half-day) and Saturday, May 17 (full day).
The conference is recommended for school administrators, educators, tutors, psychologists, physicians, and parents of students with dyslexia.

It will be held at the Sheraton Bradley International Hotel & Conference Center (www.sheratonbradley.com). To reserve a room at the conference rate, call the hotel directly at 860-627-5311 by April 1. Provide the group name Orton-Gillingham Academy.
Speakers
Marcia K. Henry, PhD, Professor Emerita, San Jose State University, and AOGPE Fellow, will deliver the keynote address. The title is “Samuel Torrey Orton and Anna Gillingham: Legend, Lore, and Legacy.”
Lectures on Saturday will address the “Neuroscientist and Educator’s Guide to the Brain.”
Speakers will be Ken Pugh, phD, Senior Scientist, Haskins Laboratories; Research Scientist, Yale University School of Medicine; and Stephen M. Wilkins, M.Ed., Headmaster, Carroll School, Lincoln, Massacusetts; Doctoral Candidate in Special Education.
